How a photographer can tell a story.

Perhaps it took an hour or more was needed to set up the heavy wet plate camera.  The photographer wanted a story-telling photo that would have later commercial potential.  He carefully posed the subjects for best impact in the 50-60 second exposure.  Subjects were carefully posed.  What was he trying to say?   Click on selected areas to see detail.
